Welcome!

I'm an evolutionary ecologist studying the evolution of reproductive diversity and mate choice in wild and domestic plants. I'm currently using theory and population genomics to study reproductive isolation and hybrid incompatibility loci in maize and teosinte. I also study the evolution of sex in natural populations of rock cress (Boechera), and plan to bring what I've learned in maize back to Boechera in the future.

I'm a postdoc with Yaniv Brandvain at the University of Minnesota and Jeff Ross-Ibarra at UC Davis, and affiliated with the University and Jepson Herbaria at UC Berkeley. Visit my Google Scholar profile.

The Rushworth Lab will be opening at Utah State University in Fall 2022!
I am currently looking for a postdoc (fully funded for two years) and masters and/or PhD students. Please reach out!
